it's already been posted, and no, HW veterans are not pissed, just a small group, the rest fo us are content

It depend how condescent you are to this problems. I still enjoy the game, you just have to play everything like HW2 and make your way through other annoying problems (pathfinding and slow repairs).

And I don't think is just a small group of complainers considering they are going to change how formations work. If it weren't an issue, they wouldn't bother. It's just weird that in a Remaster, HW2 plays exactly the same as in 2003 and HW1 plays totally different to it's original one.

small group? not a single old player, myself included, is content with formations being broken. There is simply nothing we can do - majority of players is new and doesn't know what they are missing.

Lets not forget that the actual campaign is a absolute MESS in the first game.. Enemy AI is either very poor or dead on arrival.. I don't know how any one can make the defense if you played levels like the Gardens of Khadesh side by side and say remastered is ok..
These aren't just bugs, they are things they released absolutely broken..

Gardens of Khadesh are a great example of this.. Lets do a break down of how bad this level is now... Khadesh motherships literally die like 10 times faster to when they are use to.. They do not react what so ever to your attacks.. Meanwhile in the classic the khadesh motherships not only turned to bare to fire their ion's at your ships, but they actually tried to RAM your ships leading to instant death..
Khadesh fighters were hard as hell to kill due to how hits actually went in the first, now its all randomly generated in which large numbers of assault frigates absolute destroy them.. Their AI is absolutely awful as well.. Instead of actually going after key ships like they did in the original (resources collectors, support frigates, salvage corvettes, etc etc) they basically dog fight with your ships and die quickly.

Seriously this shouldn't even be a HW1 vs HW2 debate, or a old gamer vs new one.. If these were actually "changes" I would at least be alright with it with the reasoning behind it (like removing fuel, which I thought to be an annoyance anyways).. But they just released these things broken.. And there are fools out there calling it "changes" or new "features".

So after doing some looking around, i found this...
http://www.homeworldremastered.com/

GB tells us exactly what to expect with the remastered version, copied right from their website.

By purchasing the Homeworld Remastered Collection, you'll also receive
free access to the Homeworld Remastered Steam Multiplayer Beta at the
time of release. The competitive multiplayer modes for both Homeworld
and Homeworld 2 have been combined into one centralized mode that will
allow you access to all content (races, maps and game modes) and all
improvements, features and technology from both games, allowing you to
play unlimited competitive multiplayer space battles on an epic scale.

here is the part i would like some clarification on.

and ALL improvements, features and technology from both game...s

'all features' seems pretty clear. to me,original features of hw1 include formations, tactics, and lobby for multiplayer. we are missing some features. it is clear that the 'all features' are not referring to the classic versions, since this paragraph is speaking specifically about multiplayer.

Question 6)
When can we expect to see these missing features implemented? or is this a typo on the website?

Question 6-a)
If this is a typo on the website, do you think it should be removed as to not mislead other potential customers?

we are not asking for anything more than we were promised.

Whats surprised me is that they got rid of tactics. OK, it's true, tactics was build over the ballistic system, but just like the video mentions, introducing tactics should be as "simple" as changing the RNG values, so if set in evasive, you get hit less and make few attacks, if set in agressive you are more vulnerable, but your attack rate is higher. I imagine is something possible. Even HW2 ships would benefit.

Unless the engine is not flexible enough and the RNG values can't be changed mid combat, but the fact even stationary ships can't be hit because the RNG says so is really pathetic :/

The RNG should be able to be changed so that the slower a ship is moving the more % chance it is to hit and of course stationary would be the highest at a 100% hit chance. However RNG is still random so there is always the possiblity that it is a miss instead of a hit unless at stationary the number becomes 100% to hit.

At least that would make more sense then what we have now though.

Amen brother. You are preaching to the choir! I am disappointed. I was expecting HWR to be 100% HW with HD graphics.

Yeah, it's mentioned in the video too. If the ship is stationary it should have a 100% chance of being hit, unless fire comes from a ship with evasive tactics, which will hinder the accuracy.

I can agree with what you said, and i do hope these problems are fixed, i used to love having the difficulty of the game up to a point where the khadesh motherships would ram into mine, that was great.
While these were missing
It didnt completely stop me from enjoying the remaster though
But i do hope they work to fix these problems

Srsly? I just played through HW1 and didn't really have any issues with it. If you're one of the people complaining about these things then maybe you should think about this:

Why are you so weak that you have to get all whingey about a few problems that they will probably patch. Just enjoy it, ffs. This is the problem with the world today, the internet gave everyone a voice and it shows the rest of us that you're all a bunch of whiney little bit ches.

As someone who played both Homeworld 1 and 2 on release, I am not disappointed in the least.

Is the remastered edition a quintessence of perfection? No

Is the remaster edition done extremely well and a delight to play? Yes.

If you’re disappointed, just go play the original.

i just when though cataclysm the 0 bugs are realy nice. unlike homeworld 1 remastered where my ships gets stuck in astroieds and the the hangerbay. and where missions dosent end because of scripts errors and where the game crash. or when you have captured a heavy cruiser and your fleet destroys it even when on evasive stands. you know in cataclysm you have to damage a unit before you can capture it ? well when you chose it for salvage you workers will go to it a wait for it to be damaged. when the target has been damaged your fighters will break there attack of and you workers will move in a start salvageing. all by themselves i dont have to do anything. this was 15 years ago and now in 2015 it cant be done ?

It's been over a month of after release, and they haven't done anything remotely significant in dealing with any of these problems.. I would be on your side if the product were FREE by modders.. But the product cost me $35 with a clear description of what it is suppose to have.. I don't know about you but I don't like getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and out right lied to by the developer..
