You should add an exception to your Virus software. Goto it's home page/support if you don't know how.

Two nights ago I tried to play MWR, and Webroot kept throwing up warnings, and the screen froze. This happened at least 3 times and then I just gave up trying to play. It didn't happen when I tried to play HWC. Now everything seems okay.
AVG does the same thing just tell it to make an exception and it should be fine but this'll need repeated if you reinstall the game.

False positive. Either add an exception or stop using terrible anti-virus software.

Here is a summary from Virus Total https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/35123eb07542d4cc6f9766a1220f1e7dc9d99dfe63c4c81d24d8b0523c85766d/analysis/1427392499/ Few false positives, but every decent AV didn't notice anything.

Is norton a tierrible anti-virus?
I don't think norton is a terrible anti virus.
It still has a false positive for norton.

Agree, Norton is ok, using it since 5 years now. Comes up with flase postivites sometimes. Only stupid thing it has ever done for me was deleting the Steam.exe once.

Norton is a rescourse hog and honestly windows defender does as much as norton does with less of a impact on a system.

Norton isnt terrible. Especially since it is free I believe. It however sticks its nose into places it doesnt belong quite commonly. In some cases Norton actually can become maleware. Especially the longer it is installed without updates.

F-Secure also reported this file to contain a trojan. (TROJAN:W32/FAKEALERT)
Wywern Mar 28, 2015 @ 6:21am
5/5 I use F-secure and when I try to start HW2, the F-secure do you want to let this program continue pops up, but I can't click it because it causes HW2 to crash into a state where it can't be shut down without closing the question (which it interperates as a no) or F-secure be brought up. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brilliant.

F-secure here too and it reported also the TROJAN:W32/FAKEALERT.
Vern Mar 28, 2015 @ 3:52pm
bitdefender is raising an alert too.
that's a lot of reports to just be a false positive.
what is going on ?
Aurora Mar 28, 2015 @ 4:17pm
Hmm, a Trojan called "Fakealert" and people saying it's a false positive ..... Hmmmm, brains not used.
