Sajuuk is underwhelming
So Sajuuk is supposed to be this awesome superweapon that is worth searching the entire galaxy for. But a single volley of missiles from a Vaygr BC takes down about 1/3 of it's health. It's weapons are just as close range as every other ship's, so it's weakness is not really compensated by anything. The Kuun Laan's Siege cannon at least has a very long range and area damage. Why didn't the Hiigarans just built a few more Battlecruisers instead of finding this ship is beyond me. Also, why did the Vaygr just give up after you destroyed the planetkillers ? They still had all their fleets.

it only takes 2 shots to kill a vaygr BC and it could fire from extreme long range
Learn to use Sajuuk ;)
I think that those keepers are the most advanced progenitor technology in the game. My entire fleet can‘t even destroy a single keeper. lol

Its also like a bajillion years old sitting in gravity eddies powerfull enough to make the whole region un jumpable for lightyears around. So that ♥♥♥♥ needs some referbishing, and its armor is old and dusty covered in radiation burns. its gun kills a factory ship in two shots and a battleship in 1.
This is actually a good point - hyper-advanced the Progenitors may have been, does that mean that their stuff is immune to wear-and-tear brought about by thousands of years of neglect?

Besides which, who says that Sajuuk's might wasn't conflated in all that time? You know; the story grows with the telling? All those stories could have just been referring to its main gun when in actuality it was designed to act at the head of a whole Progenitor fleet. Maybe those stories aren't about Sajuuk itself, but the fleets it commanded? That's the issue here; just about everything known about Sajuuk is coming from stories thousands of years old, possibly even ten thousand years old or more (which is more than the entire history of human civilisation in the real world, for reference) and that have already ended up being turned into myth and legend, with the Sajuuk itself even being mistaken for a god in those tales.
Sajuuk doesn't have all that much armor. If you let it get within range of BCs or a mass of DDs, you won't last very long. Yes, I did that experiment out of curiosity.
Im sure there is a mod or a way to make Sajuuk OP able to 1 shot EVERY SHIP IN THE VAYGR ARMADA!

Here's the thing about progenitor stuff.

Movers are armed utility ships, and they're more powerful than Corvettes.

The Deadnought is a key ship for opening a giant hyperspace gate and it's superior to a Battlecruiser in every way.

Sajuuk is a key ship to the Eye of Aran to open up a hyperspace network across the galaxy, and it's what, three times more powerful than a Battlecruiser?

The point is, these aren't even "combat" ships from the progenitors, their a utility ship and a couple key ships.

So do the dreadnaughts and they are pretty boring as well.

At least the dreadnaughts give you a sense of wonder cus you struggle to get it and then you decimate a ""fleet"" with it (not the heavy use of quotes). Sajuuk is literally the same thing with somewhat longer range and an odd form factor.

All progenitor technology in the galaxy was constructed in the foundries of an incredibly advanced galaxy-jumping ship. The background image in the Karos Graveyard is all that remains of this colossal ship and the image itself is mind-boggling, blowing all types of ideas you might have had about advanced space-travel out of proportion.
Then we transition to the oh-so-lame progenitor technology that was forged inside this ship and left to be fought for and found by the lesser races... This tech is totally standard compared to existing space-faring technology.

Your confusing the progenitor mothership with the massive cylindrical objects that are in the background in Karos. Those aren't the progenitor ship no one actually knows what those are it's never explained.

Sajuuk: The Great Maker
Sajuuk: Useless as a production vessel
Great maker of Rubble? Grief? Grilled lizards?

The name can be accurate

The keepers are bajillion years old as well, and they work just fine.
In fact, the first 'Keeper of Sajuuk' is actually more powerful than Sajuuk itself, because it is actually unkillable (unless you blow up Bentus next to it). I would take that as a ship anytime instead of Sajuuk.

Sajuuk cannon can hit a ship on the other side of the map LOL
Also its pulsars can kill a BC in seconds
AND it can hyperspace!
ppl complain too much geez
Sajuuk is just the device that activates the Eye of Arran. A key that happens to have a relatively powerfull gun. Compared to other Progenitor vessels it's probably pretty small and weak, just look at the Karros Graveyard, that thing is like 100 times bigger.
It's probably a safe bet that Sajuuk was never intended to be fielded with anything less than an entire fleet or even a whole armada escorting it. If it was in any sort of combat role, it would've been acting as long-ranged fire support while the actual front-line ships did the bulk of the fighting.

Sajuuk is a plot device, an underwhelming one at that. Makaan was pretty stupid to use the gate BEFORE he gets the cores. The irony is that he thinks he's laying the trap for Karen when it's really the other way around.

When you have planetkillers that are invulnerable except for that one mystical superweapon surely you would destroy the planet first before setting out to find said weapon (especially when you already hold one of the keys).
