Where the hell is Adagio for Strings?!
I just bought Homeworld 1's soundtrack, and it is strangely absent. I understand why YES' song had to be taken out, but don't tell me that the devs had liscensing issues with Adagio for Strings too! If so, that's pretty disappointing. I mean, it's not a *huge* deal, but still, it's the single most distinctive track on the soundtrack...

Adagio for strings was never included in the game, instead it was the choral version of the song by Samuel Barber called 'Agnus Dei'.

If you want to grab Adagio for Strings it's available in many forms online via traditional and not so traditional means. If you catch my meaning *wink*

This seems to be quite a common mixup.

Alright, come on, you know what I mean. :P I know about the difference between the two versions. I probably should've specified. At its core, though, it retains the exact same melody of Adagio for Strings. Semantics.

In any case, the version of Adagio for Strings: Agnus Dei used in Homeworld seems to be unique to the game. I haven't heard it from any other album.

It was the first track on the HW1 audio cd included with the game of the year version..

Youtube has all the audio you're after, just attach Homeworld to your search.

Hey I dont have this game but played sometimes this game back in early 2000`s, so if I bought this game I wouldn t have the epics soundtracks included?
its still called homeworld theme in homeworld ... even if its basicaly just adagio for strings its labeld homeworld theme to counter stuff like copy right issiues(aside from that that that issiue was solved back in 1999 with the original so why bother now?)

if your just after that one song, im sure you can google "Adagio for strings homeworld" and find exactly what your looking for. This music is forever burned in my mind, with the words "kharak is burning."

My first playthrough of homeworld, Ill never forget it.

I have bought it it for this song and the ending credit song but they are not included, I feel so screwed... :'(

Is it possible to refund it???

The only problem I have with the soundtrack is that the game sounds are still in it. I mean, it kind of kills it for me to have to listen to radio transmissions in the middle of the music. In game, that's fine, but out of game, no sir, I don't like it.

Sorry, kind of derailing, but felt like venting since I did not feel it deserved its own thread.

If you follow the usual steam refund policies - i.e. not playing it for more than 2 hours, or not having it for longer than two weeks, then probably, yes.

Seems a bit odd to purchase a game for a song that can be easily acquired off of youtube (probably the worst quality) and from numerous other locations online that have better quality, but it's your money and time.

I think he meant the soundtrack DLC.

The track for Adagio for Strings in the soundtrack is called "Tears of Karan". Hope that helps
