Homeworld 1 Classic Tutorial Crash

I started doing the tutorial for the original games to get the archivement so I could have everything since its easy to get then but on the middle of the tutorial and more specific on the battle part the game just crashes after a kill, did someone find a work around by any chance?

Change the language. Play in english, this work for me

I don't remember changing the language of the game, where do I do that?

well I change the language to a random one and crashed, changed back to english and it work now lol

I had almost the same issue, Classic tutorial crashing on start. Solved following this topic, changed the language to english and it starts now. Looks like there are issues with Classic language files. I have also opened a support ticket about this.

LoTeK_83, did you have an answer for your ticket? I have the same problem but this procedure did not work for me.

No, they closed the ticket when I reported how I fixed it. If changing the language to english did not solved it for you, you may want to consider opening another ticket.

I'm still having trouble with this bug. Where specifically is this language setting? I've right clicked on Homeworld, selected properties, then language. I've changed it to German and hit OK. Then I changed it back to English. Missing 8 of that training still crashes. Also using 16 bit video.

After trying all sorts of sound/video options, I didn't notice the option to load a specific training lesson. Since lession 8 was the one crashing, skip it! Simply select Training, then Load Lesson, then select the last lession called Practice. Follow it through the end. The game will tell you when you are successful. Then exit. The classic training achievement should appear.
