4k and mouse
Hype, ever so hyped.

Once I started gaming I set the resoltuion to 4k (tried window, but the max is 1200p?) . After this setting fear struck my heart, the mouse was limited to the upper 60% of my screen (something tells me it has something to do with 1440). Due to this issue I cannot press accept when attempting to change my resolution.

Begging this would not occur in-game I was able to launch the single player, intro, I cried of joy, game, I cried of dissapointment as you can guess...

I am now on a quest to find "The config file" containing the resolution settings who will aid me in this epic journey?

Regards

I had the same problem as you guys and found a fix for my system (Windows 8.1):
Switch the compability mode for the launcher exe (x:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Homeworld\HWLauncher\launcher.exe) on for Scaling for high DPI values. Once I toggled that the mouse issue was gone.
Look for the .exe mentioned in the windows explorer. Right-click the launcher.exe to access properties. Switch to the compabilities tab and select the Scaling for High DPI values mode.

If I could just reach that restore defaults button. Indeed some of it fixesto my other screen :/ making it... 2140*2140 or something. I guess 1440p is supported.

I am having the same problem. I used DSR on my GTX 980 to set the resolution to 4k. When I started experiencing an invisible border, I force closed the game and restarted only to still have the same problem. The only way I could set the resolution back to 1920x1080 was to go into the Nvidia Control Panel and disbale DSR. When I restarted again, this forced the resolution back down to 1080p. I was then able to click on things again. Thinking the problem was solved (it was not), I started a new game only to discover another one of these borders at the right side of the screen that prevented me from clicking on the Research or Launch buttons. ...WHAT THE HELL?!

I got a hotfix for now if you cant play, launch options to: -w 1280, set resolution that works (I think 1440p) and play on that resolution for now.
