They already rereleased the original in GOG as a separate product. As for a remaster, it seems very unlikely considering the source code got lost and the fact that it has been a long time since the release of the remaster. Although an unofficial remaster via mods is currently in progress so maybe we will get something similar in the end.
Is there a chance we get a 64bit update für the Remastered Collection as well at some point?
I kinda look for a space game that have the Eve online marketing, with some cool mining, building, crafting futures that allso offers a third person to fps warfare with alot of weapons, tools, utillity´s & armors +++ on planets and base´s & in the space in a Huge open universe to explore .. in a real time strategic way of playing the game with boots on the ground or mann the cocpit of the fighters, battleships and so on ??
The story´s are cool in each one of them, even in the game dust 514 ..
but as a player i seek an adventure that will make me do just 1 mission or quest more, a game that stuns me of its beauty & euphoric sound & graphics, can you do that ?
With the Game studio´s you have today and with the foto realistic graphics you can use to lower the resource cost on the systems to make stunning Graphics ..
Would it be possible to get a online multiplayer game like that in the future ??
I did play homeworld back in 1999 btw ;)
But i would love if this became a mmorpg instead

I hope not. I prefer it staying as an rts with a linear story. Never been very fond on mmorpgs, most of them are too grindy and time consuming. And their plot usually becomes very convoluted just because they need new "big events" to create new content and keep insterest on the game. In any case, they are making a Homeworld with a persistent multiplayer world. Its for mobile, and not really an rpg, but, for now, its the closest you can get to a Homeworld mmorpg.
