Homeworld versions classic and remastered non-steam

I have tried to make the classic versions of the homeworld to run on my modern AMD APU and I do not think it will work,but it will work on my friend's AMD Compaq CQ60 APU with windows 7....
However,I can get the homeworld remastered versions to run ok on my machine....I cannot find a classic to work on my machine....I can run both homeworld remastered versions and the original classic homeworld 1 but 2 will not run...

AMD APU Laptop
Windows 10
X-64 bit processor
dualcore type laptop
two logical threads
two cores
no hyperthreading
E1-2100 APU
4.00GB of RAM
1.00ghz speed
Screen size is 15.6


I have went to the library and plugged in my flash drive homeworld and the stargate space conflict mod to work on either the library's xp or windows 7 pc desktops..but,won't run either classic homeworld or beta stargate mod on my pc...very confusing...

I cannot find a beta release for a non-steam copy of homeworld remastered....
I cannot get the classics to run..im stuck,i've read comments on steam,s-k-i-d-r-o-w-p-i-r-a-t-e-ba-y,etc....need help...

my friends pc i mentioned above runs everything fine..mine wont run the old classic etc....annoys me....

I have both tried the other webpage dll doom 3 driver option and I have tried all the compatibility options......

I removed the /heap 1073741824 option and it all came together after editing the registry putting in my preferred resolution (height 1440 x width 2560 for 1440p, or yours may be height 1080 x width 1920 for 1080p)

I run windows 10 and nothing else worked for me. Create a shortcut to game, edit properties and edit target.

i.e.

Target:
E:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Homeworld\Homeworld1Classic\exe\Homeworld.exe /triple /enableSSE /disableAVI /pilotView

(with the /pilotView option use "q key" to ride the ship apparently, I haven't tried this as yet)

ok,I forgot to mention I have a 15.6 laptop by hp. res at it's max is 1366x768....

I personally wouldn't play games on a laptop. Neither have I used mods in the game. This worked for me on a very powerful PC and only used this to fix resolution problems in classic versions only NOT mods.

(Probably a good idea to back up your registry before editing if you're new to this. I take no responsibility if you do not know what you are doing).

I was able to try homeworld 1 version 1 c.06.1 classic to run on my machine,but for some reason homeworld 2 classic will not run....this is beyond me....

you have to understand I have a cracked copy of remastered with playable homeworld 1 and 2 remastered,i also can play both in classic ,only homeworld 1 classic works homeworld 2 will not,so 3 out of 4 total games will work on my AMD E1-2100 APU x64 bit processor,4.00 GB of RAM 2 logical threads two cores,etc..but the 1 other homeworld 2 classic will not....this is odd ...

Have you tried to right click on the HW icon go to properties and set it to run as admin and enable compatability mode to win 7 or win xp sp 2 or 3. This helped me run it in win 8.

Hp laptop - E1-2100 APU - x64-bit processor - windows 10 - 4.00 GB of RAM - 2 logical threads - 2 cores - no hyperthreading - resolution 1366x768 maxxed - hp 15.6 screen -etc...

um yes I have tried the compatibility option....I think I have tried that (Homeworld 2 Classic) with the classic version a bunch of times...I do not know why it will not work...but the other three work in the remastered collection...

So you can run the HW:Remastered and HW1 classic but can't run the HW2 classic? Or you can't run both of them? Try the guide here,especially the 1st one,the amd card guide.

let me make it more clear,I can run the Homeworld 1 and 2 remastered.I can run the homeworld classic .but I cannot run homeworld 2 classic.there.

I have already,I do not know what I am missing there,but I am stuck..waiting for the pc IT genuis to come along and say,oh I know what your problem is...
When I try to run it homeworld classic 2,it opens black screen for few seconds then drop.as if it was loading.
