How do I play multiplayer?

Hi, I bought this game to play with a friend. I know it's not co-op, but I did read of players meeting up with friends online.

My issues is that since buying this game twice for us both to play, niether of us can work out how to play Multiplayer. We can't find any option on the menu screen to do so????

Is this game no longer Mutiplayer. It says it is on the Sale discription. Very Weird.

I confirm that I too an unable to access multiplayer option. this is frustrating because i was gifted this game under the expectaion that it was multiplayer game.

Are you guys using the launcher? The MP launch option is in the bottom right of the HW lancher menu.

Also config your firewall to allow HW and Steam binaries to access the net.


If all else fails create an override shortcut on your desktop and point it to the directory below

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Bin\Release\HomeworldRM.exe" -mpbeta

You also need the launch via the latest comunity Patch-mod if you haven't subscibed
