Homeworld Cataclysm/Emergence Super Acolytes

I realize this isn't quite the place, but I know there's a way to use Super Acolytes from the beginning of the game in Homeworld Cataclysm/Emergence. I did it on an old pc, I believe I edited a file and when I did, it made normal acolytes be super acolytes. They could link together to make normal ACV's, and unlink to become super acolytes again. Anyone know how I did that? Sadly I can't access the pc anymore that I did this on.
