Cheats for all homeworld versions including homeworld classic

Just wanting to know if theres any cheats for homeword on the workshop or the web. If its on the web then say if it rquires money and copy the URL and paste it on the disscusion

there are no cheats for homeworld clasic, the key to the game is being able to micro manage your salvage corvets.

Play a mishion and collect ALL the salvage.
then SAVE
go into the next mishion, find out what you need and what you can salvage
RELOAD SAVE
rebuild fleet

Salvaging ships in clasic homeworld is Key woithout it YOu will not get yourt fleet bejond max build size and there for the last 2 mishions will be redislly Hard.

I know in the original you could go into the files and chane all the statistics for the ships. Weapon damage/type, fire rate, hp, thrust, weight. Messing with that was a lot of fun.

You can change lua file for campaign and get resources that way, also you can change ship names so you spawn at mission start with something different from what you ended with (change scout into battlecruiser)

Could you please tell me the game-file-name for the junkyard dog by any chance? I have been trying to cheat one in.

The files can be found under:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Homeworld\HomeworldRM\Bin\Profiles\Profile1\Campaign

This location is for the remastered version, but you get the idea. Edit the .lua file that has the most recent "modified" date on it and you will then see the changes you've made in game.

Can you edit .lua files for HW1C, or something equivalent thereof?

Also, I assume the Junkyard Dog is just a really beefy Salvage Corvette?

NOPE! it has its own designator. Since doing that post I managed to cheat in a dog and did an entire run of HW1rm with it. The amount of tiidani ships I had in my oversized fleet was incredible.
