Stargate space conflict mod issue

ok now I got a new laptop rig...
A10-9600p Bristol ridge
quad-core 2.4 ghz to turbo 3.4
dual channel
2x4
windows 10 64-bit
homeworld remaster entire collection...I bought it.

now,I have tested the homeworld 2 classic to run and it runs now on my new rig...
but the mod stargate space conflict will crash once I attempt to run it...

What Am I missing?

The mod hasn't been updated to the current version of the game. Your gonna have to do some legwork to rollback the game to a previous version. I just picked up the collectors edition tonight myself took me a bit to find a working solution. Gearbox could easily fix this by providing the old version via steam beta download, but since they didn't for whatever damn reason heres a solution thats gonna take you a bit of work. https://www.reddit.com/r/homeworld/comments/518exd/howto_download_old_versions_of_the_game_to/

Star trek is the only total conversion I know of that works with the current version atm.

If they just released a new version patch update for the steam version of homeworld remastered...then which version do I have to rollback to?and how hard is it to do?

They released the patch like 5 months ago mate. It just takes a bit to download the old files thats all, I can answer your questions I'll be on for a bit. Gettin my ass kicked in the BSG campaign atm lol

it works.I followed the process and unzipped a copy of moddb.com mod into the folder it should be in.then I made the shortcut and followed through with the instructions.then I tried the shortcut,no response...then the steam launcher menu,then I selected the classic mod option and wham it works...

ok,now when I go to use LoiLo game recorder to record the gameplay.it works then all of a sudden part way through it crashes.

what is a good command line argument for the stargate beta classic HW2 mod?

I need a complete list of command line arguments for mods related to this homeworld 2 classic..and stargate beta classic.

okay so explain in detail.does this mean the game will not work with he mod without a patch?
