Game is too tough. Is there a cheat mode? cheat keys?

As you continue to play, you'll eventually unlock more things that will make your runs easier. For instance, the Growing Hatred showdown is a superb ability that mows down huge swarms of enemies around our lady gunfighter while the Tarot card will allow her to survive a single hit (which effectively gives her another life in the same run).

Also, learn and abuse that Dodge roll. It's fantastic for giving you I-frames and for increased mobility. You can even go through large enemies such as the shieldbearers and gun them down from the other side. One of the best items, the Rusty Spur, let's you roll twice without cooldown and will be one of the first items you'll unlock.

In fact, many of the best items and abilities are acquired fairly early -- including the default weapon which is arguably the best weapon in the game! I know you said you wanted cheats, but there really isn't any; at least, not that I'm aware. However, it's a fun game and I hope you continue to give it a try. Don't give up! Get those new items and passives to make things easier!

Wish there were cheats or modular difficulty settings, because a lot of the unlocks aren't really making the game easier, every item has a negative added to it, and for the most part the game is unlocking modifiers to make the game more difficult. The unlocks serve more to change and adapt to your playstyle, than to make the game easier, I would say.
