How do you get out of a spin?
Just learning to fight against single opponents in Quck Missions now. I've been using flight sims way before Red Baron, right up to IL-2, and got an actual pilot's license, so I understand how to get out of a spin. But now, I can't get past the point where my fights end when I snap into a spin. Controls are completely unresponsive.

I've tried rudder against the spin, rudder with the spin, engine off, full throttle, fighting it with the stick, stick full forward... Maybe the rudder isn't actually connected to my keyboard. I'll have to look in 3rd person view.

Type "A" for autopilot.
Or do the Tutorial Campaign. There is one mission that teaches how to get out of a spin.

There are many different types of stalls and if you don't think fast it can turn deadly very quickly. Good read here:

The spin recovery techniques for various planes are compiled in game manual. These early planes sometimes require different techniques, sometimes even for right and left spin in the same plane. The manual can be found through steam or here:

http://riseofflight.com/en/community/usefulmaterials

The tutorial teaches how to exit spin in SPAD XIII. Modern "standard" recovery techniques not always work for these planes - they were no such standards when they were designed. Most non-DLC planes are ok, (except S.E.5 and Camel ?).

There are some tutorial videos here. Different planes have different recovery techniques.. The one common rule seems to be drop the throttle to idle. Also well worth a look are requiems training videos on youtube.

ive been trying to do the 3rd mission all night and it just . will. not. work. ive tried pulling the nose down and opposite the spin like they told me. i tried killing the engine or at least lowering the speed down to something manageable but nothing will work. im losing my mind someone please help me out on this. no matter what i do i crash to my death. it doesnt seem like the plane responds to any of the actions of my joystick or keys, not even yaws. any help would be appreciated so i can move on from this nightmare level
