Career mode issue

Im with sopwith Camel in career mode but I never get any mission.
Mission builder makes missions only to Sopwith Pup and days go by... Annoying.
Is anybody getting same problem?

Yes i have the same prolbeme wanted to start a career on the channel map with the felixstowe 2a but i never get a mission too

Not sure about pup/ camel squadron, but the problem with felixstowe is: this isn't a frontline fighter squadron. When you fly a fighter over the front, your unit flies 2-4 sorties per day, each flight is made of 3-5 planes, so tere are many opportunities to get assigned to mission. You fly many missions, you get into fights, you earn promotions etc.

In felixstowe squadron, your unit flies one mission per day, often sending just one plane, so your opportunities to fly are minimal. You don't fly much, even when you fly you have less chances of air combat, you stay underpromoted and underworked. You are literally sitting throught the war. No wonder fighters were considered more glamourous.

In both cases, the solution is to start another career in unit that sees lots of action (Jasta 7 / No.8 RNAS are good choices for both maps) and promoted until you become a squadron commander. Then you can restart your careers with higher starting rank - you will be commanding squadron from the beginning, and deciding who goes to mission and who stays at home.

Pyryharakka, could you specify which squadron you were in? Please also tell us what date it was and what theater (channel or Western front) so we could check if there is a problem.

I dont remember the Squardon but it was with a Felixstowe 2a on the channel map

Channel, 1917 June 10 Squadron no4. First I filtered squadrons by planes (Camel) and there was squadron with sopwith pups and camels but missions are given only to pups.

EDIT: Yep, there is error with No.4 in June 1917, exactly like Pyryharakka says. I have two No.4 careers now, one made last December and one made today - new one shows mix of pups and camels when old one had only camels, and new one does not use camels at all. Squadron must have been changed with latest patch and updated badly :( .


Pyryharakka, just stay clear of June 1917. I've clicked next mission/next day few tiems and the squadron starts using Camels by 2nd July, and should drop last Pups by 4th July. If you did not fly any missions, delete the career and start it again on 1st July.

I have the same problem. Maybe Career Mode means sit there and read about other pilots doing stuff. I never get a mission. All I can do is click next day.

I have a different problem.. I select Airfield and plane. But I can't click next.

what map, what date, what airfield, what squadron, see whether I see same (assuming I've got the required aircrafts)

once you had clicked on your chosen airfield and resident squadron was that airfields icon then given an red rectangular background showing the squadrons insignia?
