I run it fine on Windows 11. No problems with my controllers. At the minimum, plug them into a powered USB port. Some have had to plug them directly to the PC USB ports.

You've probably given up hope, but if anyone else hasn't: I've just found a wireless Saitek Cyborg Evo joystick from the mid-2000s, and have got it working with the latest W11 and RoF, which I haven't played for years. I recommend some tweaking rather than grouching, as it's unlikely you have as outdated a piece of hardware as I do so I expect you could get it working...

Its not dead, get the AI overhaul mod by VON S and then this sim beats the sequel "Flying Circus". FC is a failed flop due to them recycling the stock AI from this and not fixing it. At least in ROF the AI is now far better than stock and better than the current game in regards to enemy AI skill and flyables available.

FC is garbage, it's AI is far worse than even the normal RoF AI. In FC planes, when the enemy comes at me, I can just completely ignore them, slowly, casually fly around and do some sight seeing and most of the time they don't even bother to shoot at me at all.

This game is better by far. I'm done buying Great Battles content, as you said, nothing ever gets fixed. All those pretty planes and nothing to do with them cause the AI is total trash, what a waste of money.

Yeah I actually got temporarily banned recently (it's expired now) for complaining about the AI in Great Battles FC, the first time I've ever been banned on Steam in my whole life just for saying the devs don't care to fix the game and make it better and that it's turning into a cash grab.
