I can get all of the flight surfaces to move by keyboard command while the plane is still on the ground at the airfield but once I am airborne I can only control the rudder by keyboard, the ailerons and elevator surfaces will only move with the mouse.
I want it so I can fly with mouse and then when I need to I can hold the right mouse button down to look around with and fly by keyboard command, it's got to be possible, it is in other flying games
With that mode your also limited more or less to straight and level flight. Gets said too much about Flight Simulators that joysticks are required, disagree with that statement for the most part, but with Rise of Flight some sort of controller with axis controls available really is recommended.
