I've once had my phys attack (w/ phys weapon equipped) replaced with freeze after dismantling something with a relatively high freeze value. It was early in the run, so the base (phys) attack value was low, boosted with combat, for a total in the 180-250 range, suddenly replaced with this freeze attack for 87...
Also, is the Red Orc really only phys-damage immune? I've had a run ended where my build was magic + insight + demonic set (with a hunter ring for Jupiter and other dodgers), so the first turn was extremely bursty (3+mil dmg), but base damage was pretty low, probably ~800.
A Red Orc stopped this cold (Blocked it all), while I eventually eked past it, but it had a confuse attacker behind it which did me in.
I think that was the mimic guy (adaptive dmg bonus / Unchained set), so they probably only had 2-3 attacks per round.
Power is a multiplicative bonus. Available amounts are also much better: +90% to 200% in a single item shouldn't be too hard to acquire.
