How do you use the vampire's drain ability?

new player, doing my first run and picked vampire. How do you actually use the drain ability? I'm not seeing any buttons for it or anything.

Edit: it was not missing health that was stopping it from activating.

I think i need to have mana. It should be on auto-cast. To have mana you need specific characters that start with mana or equipment.

I supposedly have 3 mana and i'm not seeing it go down or anything so it doesn't seem to be casting.

Hmm maybe bugged? With mana and if ur not silenced by enemies it should work.

however, all abilities are cast automatically. there is no button. so either you were encountering a bug or you're missing something.

Yup, been building physical attack.

Not sure if it requires that I be missing health to activate though. That doesn't happen often due to all the armor. I'll have to pay closer attention to my mana next time I do get hurt.

Yes you are right drain is only cast once you take health damage
