MP-Tips for Building!
((Video Update https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrNwx0BftJ0 ))

Today I had to help three noobies, excluding helping my noobie self learn how to rotate objects, and what to look for while building. I may do a video tutorial at some point as well but I am unsure of that as of yet. I hope these tips help

1- Change the rotation/Rotation(Yaw) keybinds. This is a must for people who don't know how to use or don't have a "Mouse4"

1A- Options>Controls>Human>

I changed
Rotation= "." <--Period
RotationYaw= "," Comma/Grave

1B- When using this you have to HOLD DOWN on PERIOD(Or whatever you changed Rotation to) and move the mouse as if you was trying to look as something in order to rotate the object. To adjust YAW you HOLF DOWN on PERIOD AND COMMA at the same time and use your mouse look to change the rotations.

1C- You can also use the Arrow Keys following the same method above in 1B jsut without the mouse. It also helps if you don't have a mouse wheel to redo keybinds for Human MoveObject Away/Close keybinds to what you want.

1D- Once you got your keybinds the way you want test them out and stress test a small SP build first and do a lot of practicing. Yes I know this may be silly but it helps.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2- Building requires you to be patient and look at what you're doing. This is not Infiniminer or MineCraft. On most objects you will see tiny blue nodes/circles, often with tiny little arrows that point in a direction. The arrows of one object must match up and face the same way for the object to be put onto another object.

2B- Get your floor plan laid out first, then secondly build your airlocks. Take note, that ONCE you place a DOOR into a DOORWAY/AIRLOCK you cannot remove it at all. So SAVE before you finalize an airlock/doorway system.

2C- Corners. Your corner blocks and 90Degree corner offsets are amazing. Get your corners laid out before you build your walls and rooves.

2D- Have three 3D Printers going at all times with the parts you need AFTER you used up all the needed materials already laying around if you have any. The less items the less load. Unless you're like me and plan to build an massive base. Having items being printed as you work means you get done faster than jsut waiting for one part at a time.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3- Damage. If you're like me, and I know I am, then you tend to want to run, jump, and take risks. Well Damage is soemthing a lot of new people think they have to deal with. In a way yes, but then you see a gigantic mother (HONK!) APC like thing called the MML. Go inside of it, find a bunk, lay in the bunk to heal up. Yay.

3B- Avoid the dune buggy. You will, as the drive, take a lot of damage by driving it on explorations. Use the MML as it is the safest vehicle.

3C-Death means nothing. There is no punishment for death. Unless you're a RPer like me and assume PermaDeath.

3D- HA! 3D!........ The Science Buggy also protects you from damage, but be warned, it likes to flip on you and sometimes causes you to be glitched to where you cannot get out.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feel free to add anything! I know it's not much but this is what I learned so far on my own adventures with Multiplayer.

Patch Sep 5, 2014 @ 12:37am
I changed my yaw/rotate keys to j/k works for me. Also if like me you have a habit of printing pieces then throwing them to the worksite lol be aware that ocasionally (prob only about 1 in 50) you get a piece that is damaged IE when you pick it up to place it the connecting nodes do not light up making the piece unusable. BTW keys for me are j to yaw and jand k together to rotate.

I didn't even know there was such buttons. I know there is right click, left click, wheel click, and wheel turn up/down. For me I'm using a laptop trackpad and the two buttons so I have to rework the keybinds to suit my hands. At some poit I should look into getting a mouse with a bunch of buttons on it.

Haha! Very good tutorial, Ferret and entertaining, too. After chuckling all the way through I've come to the conclusion that besides being helpful, you're also a nut, lol. Subscribed :)
