Have you found it yet?

If you have where is it?

Devs need to make a guide or map for some of this.

It's on one of the bodies of the crew.

The datastick is on the cmdrs body. The datapad is in a box (with the construction tool) at the debris area midway between the poptent the debris area that the low-gain transmitter is found in.

Can someone be more specific as to the location of the datapad? I've searched for an hour and have not found it. I've found two crates of food (one with pills), a crate of water, various fuel canisters but no datapd. I found the datastick right away but pulling my hair out trying to find this stupid pad. I thought this was supposed to be a survival building game on Mars, not find a needle in a haystack.

If you find the drop pods with the truck parts in them then this will be point "A"
The pop tent is point "B"
If you have fond the "low gain transmitter" then this is point "C"

Now take all 3 points and make a triangle with them. The data pad will be in the middle of this.

That's just plain stupid. The tool and datapad are in the container yet there is no UI indication that there's anything inside or a key to open it. You have to open your inventory to find out what's in containers. There was never any mention of that anywhere in this game.

Yep. Just like real life.
