Try to limit card numbers. You can freely add and remove it at deck window. I'm usually going one card for healing, one card for shielding and one damage card. (physical or magic later in the game)
So whole deck is three cards.
This way You will have better chance of getting shield cards each turn. You want to stack shield and ocasionally going for heal. But mostly just 1/2 x shield and 1x damage each turn. You will take minimum or no damage at all. Later you will have card with 4xshield and replace the 1xshield :)
You can also convert unused card for mana (button below card) - because you will get 5 new cards each turn anyway. So spend resource and draw another card if needed. (additional cards for two mana each - clicking deck cover on the right)
Btw. Invest early in intelligence. Every 10 points (2 x levels) is one more mana point. With ~10-12 mana points it will get a lot better. But go for strenght and hp also.
Also drag consumables in inventory, clicking them and then in the bar to the right to use it in battle. It will help You.
GL ^^
Just have 2-3 cards selected (1 damage, 1 zombie, 1 shield card), and you can happily murderise the end-fights without them even getting a shot in.
End game:
4 armadillo, 2 murder in the shadows. Makes the entire game a joke. Armour is so OP. You need 12 mana to pull it off, but you can do that by the beast-kin part, and once you do, you win. Simple as. You don't need other stats except for quests.
You can also remove cards from your hand, and gain mana for it, which makes the above strategy genuine OP.
Yeah, armadillo, which you get from one of the first quests by going right, is sooo much better than fortress.
