Is there an alternate ending? "Spoilers"
I just completed story mode for the first time but I felt like i did somthing wrong. Is there an alternate way to beat the game or is that the only ending for now?

Sadly no.
I like the ending, but many people don't.

I got to the end and walked down the corridor to the objective and activated it, and my screen just went black and gave me a cursor.

edit: Although my save said I was a few missions back, it actually loaded right to the end game cinematic and let me get my xp/unlocks =)

Can't wait to play more

I just finished the game, and man was that ending a punch to the gut. :3
But it's totally cyberpunk and grim. It wouldn't be a dystopian future if everything turned out right. :]

I don't really understand why the AI did what it did, though. Some exposition (from the ai's pov) would have been nice. I mean, what motives the AI, and why would it destroy all the corps?

Most of the motive was explained through the final mission through Incognitas breakdown monologue. She starts revealing her philophosy on life (and ants), and destroyed all the corps because they were "creating chaos" (since they were at war at eachother)- so that she can take the place as queen bee of the world, and therefore enforce her views.

Incognita gives you hints about its betrayal along the run. Listen carefully.

Like I said I enjoy the ending to the game I guess I was just hoping that I could be the one to sneak into the different waring companys main head quarters and take down the company, or somthing to that general description.

My biggest complaint about the ending was that it felt like it was incomplete. Like it was the backstory to a bigger setting, or the end of part 1 of a series. Which, given there is DLC coming out, it probably is.

Maybe its a bad ending? and they will add the good one after? adding more content dlc after this ending sounds difficult considering all the corporations are dead and she could probably take you out if she wishes to

from the beggining you could realize that she is friend of skynet...
