Resolution and UI Scaling

Made some basic searches for solutions to a problem I'm having, but only found more people with the issue, and uncertain solutions.

Trying to play the game, but the game's resolution / UI / whatever is scaled very low. I have to squint hard to see text, relevant options my characters have, etc. Makes it unplayable.

When I first downloaded the game and ran on full screen, I don't remember having this problem. Problem came when I changed to windowed mode and tried to re-size the window. Got ugly resolution / UI scaling. Switch back to full screen, now it keeps the bad setting instead of reverting to something that I can see without squinting. Tried deleting the .lua file in klei/invisible_inc/settings folder, but that doesn't fix the issue.

So ... any ideas? Want to try this game out, but I'd rather not be squinting the entire time.

What resolution is your screen? Does changing the resolution in the options help? If nothing else, it might be possible to make a mod that scales the UI, but it's never been done so there's no telling if that works.

Screen resolution is 3840 x 2160. Changing the resolution in options / re-sizing the window does nothing.

That's strange, did you make sure to click accept after changing the resolution?

Doesn't work. Also, either this one or it's dependency borked up the Options menu. "Cancel" and "Accept" buttons in Options no longer worked, so I couldn't back out of Options without closing the game. Had to go into the Steam folder on my computer and manually delete the mods folder.
