How to Use a Flash Grenade...?

Question for those of you in the know:

How on earth do you actually USE a flash grenade!???

I had one in Decker's inventory in a few games ago. It wasn't orange and it doesn't have any skill requirements so I assumed he could use it. But when I tried to use it on a hoard of investigating guards, there was no "use" option! You cannot equip it... I tried. You can only drop it, so I did, thinking it would explode and knock out the guards temporarily.

...but it did nothing.

Instead it was just dropped as I ran like hell and exited the board. Think I lost at least one agent because of it and never made it to the end of that run. I attributed it to a glitch and moved on.

But now I have a flash grenade in Internationale's inventory in my current run and I still can't figure out how to use it. I'd really like to NOT waste it this time. How the flip do you use this thing!?

Oh the struggle. I know that feel bro and can`t blame you.
You dont click on use, you just click on the grenade and when pop-up menu shows up, just ignore it and hover a mouse over a bad guys or wherever.
