The Perfect Sequel
What do you all want for a potential Dragon Commander 2?
Personally, I want more options, more choices, more Role-Play opportunities and characters.
I want more policies, more representatives arguing, character creation options (race, dragon type, gender, and for each to mean something in role-play)... perhaps tons of scenes and random events that are described in written form to keep workload and costs down, while still providing more of everything regarding being, A Prince/Princess, a Dragon, The Emperor/Empress, and the topmost leader of the military in the middle of a war... also peacetime, I want peacetime, and declaring war. To me, Dragon Commander isn't a strategy game, it's a Role-Playing game about being An Emperor, which just to happens to mean war, combat, conquest. It would be incomplete without it.

Also more brides, of equal or greater quality to the ones we currently have.
Though I don't really want the brides to be the most interesting thing in the game... I want running/ruling the empire to be the most interesting thing, with your wife being a considerable facet of that.

Though... I am torn on whether or not my perfect Dragon Commander 2 would continue with parodying real world politics, or would be mostly fantasy politics?

With modern politics being what they are... I kinda don't want Larian to do modern real world politics again, as that would most likely just make everybody angry, whether they take a side or try to be neutral and accurate to both... probably better to go to made-up fantasy politics.

I would love to see a sequel. I think these kind of games are frowned upon in current year though and looking at Larian's art direction and style change following this game with DOS 1 and 2 a sequel seems unlikely.

A refreash for this kind of gameplay, I think would be very nice.
Parody with some real current politics can be fine, so long it holds and isn't just a one timed excuse to push something. While not forgetting to have fun or to make fun of something.

While there is likely no idea for a 2nd title of this, would be fun to recreate just the gameplay aspects. As the use of dragons, seems to never get much used beyond the standard.
So a verison that might be in the realm of the dragon trainer movies, a sort of combination with more focus of holding how this title looks and having the selection of things or dragons like in the movies. Not as wide of a selection, but just so you can get more options with your hero/dragon and how it impacts combat.

Using the ground/air combo system the sort of "solution" from;
