how come it looks like the only strategy in combat is to jump back and attack i hope there's more depth than that

I'm interested, but concerned. I worry for the, ah, interactivity of combat. Because while dodging would take a great deal of skill in any game where it is finely balanced, we only say one strategy here... Rush attack, jump back, repeat.

It's funny/amazing to see how you can kick one opponent to the side in order to stop getting swarmed.
