Will not start
I am running Windows 10 (build 10130) and ALL my other steam games work fine except for this game. I just purchased it and when I try to run it, the screen goes black as if the game is going to start, but then it immediately goes back to windows.

I have an idea of the issue though, perhaps it *thinks* that the VC runtime is installed. Does anyone know what version of the VC Runtime this game depends on? I would like to know, so I can go ahead and reinstall that version.

UPDATE: Still not working. I have reinstalled VC runtimes for 2010, 2008, 2005. x64 and x86 for all three. I didn't bother with 2012 since I had already done that recently.

Another update: I see in the boundbyflame directory the mini crash dumps. Is there somewhere I can post these for a developer to look at? Perhaps I need to go to the actual web site.

Ok, I fired up Visual Studio 2015 - launched the game through the debugger and it returned with this error:

Application Load Error T:0000065432

Google that error but only found ones related to P:0000065432 and not the one I get.

Nevermind, I have put in a request to refund this game - as I have never been able to play it - which is too bad as I paid 30 dollars for it and I was looking forward to enjoying it.

Your fault for using Windows 10 so early.
Idiot.

He is helping alot of people who perhaps intended to buy the game and in midst of upgrading to windows 10. I think you are the one that is idiot here. Apart from not contributing but insulting others.

Just letting people know the game works in Windows 10 build 10122. I couldn't get build 10130 stable at all. It seemed to have all sorts of problems not game related so i reverted back to 10122 and everything runs fine. So it is likely his problem was just a bad preview build and not the game at all. It certainly runs great for me.
However did they say what video card they were using etc? As just blaming a game for not working when there are so many variables makes it hard to help people is all.

There are a ton of variables, I agree.
I am running Windows 10 (Build 10130) 64 bit edition
32 GIGS of RAM
NVIDIA GTX 970
Intel i7-5930K
ASUS X-99 Deluxe motherboard

I will wait until a build after 10130 comes out and try again. The software developer in me was interested in debugging this - however with no PDB files and nothing else in the event viewer / log files to help me troubleshoot - I was hoping someone else had run into this particular error.

What I did find disheartening is that on the official boundbyflame website, it appears the publisher and developers are no longer interested in supporting this game and have moved onto greener pastures. I had posted on their official forums and had zero replies. I hope that changes when Windows 10 is official next month.

Install game at your Windows drive - you can add new installation directory in your Steam settings. I have same problem on Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. Now It's working fine.
