Great game, Horrible End Boss
Wow... I don't quit and leave most games at the end fight ... but after 3 hours of bashing my head on EASY... ??? Comon now... if I wanted to punish myself on Dark Souls or something I would ... Don't waste or effort, time, or money.

The End Boss is a pain in the a$$. LOTS of people had problems with him. In all seriousness though, if you're stocked with things you need the End Boss can be pretty easy. You just have to find that balance of how you're playing and stock up on needed items. Also make sure you're pretty maxed out in armor, weapons, etc.

Not worth the effort, but thanks.

Already done in all those respects. ... a 20 hour push and 3 hours for one boss is enough for me :) That and there is no reason when playing on recruit for a boss like that. i would understand it on a higher difficulty level but not on beginners. It contradicts the description completely.

Yeah....I uh, just had to privilege to fight that prick on buffalo difficulty as a pure warrior build and quickly realised I could go ♥♥♥♥ myself apparently. Fun times.

i love that the last boss is so hard. most games the last boss is super easy and its just a joke.

Also dont forget the to upgrate your wapons and armor to increase your fire resistance.
I dident do it on my first time finishing the game,
it made a big difference the seconde time.

Lol, guys, i already made that post alot sooner and, yes endboss is bad balanced compare to the rest of the game, but if you had used the search funtion for the forum you could see my easy solution to beat boss in any difficult level.

You only need crossbow with poison.

I agree. This boss annoyed me greatly. I can understand it being super hard because it's a final boss, but this shouldn't be the case on Easy difficulty in a story-driven RPG. Not to mention locking the player out of going back to restock on items and grinding. (I had to load an earlier part of the game to be able to go back)

My solution for beating him? Buy 40+ potions and bear through all the punishment with gritted teeth. There was little strategy to this boss, and because it's so long and has so much HP, you just need a huge supply of potions.

Also, as the others said, traps are useful, since they make him fall down, giving you a chance to deliver some free hits to him whilst he is getting up.

Apart from this boss though, the game is brilliant.

I've just reached the boss. The developers have a serious problem on the end boss difficulty. It simply isn't fun or challenging in a good way. They did the exact same thing on Of Orcs and Men, which prompted me to not complete that game. I've never had a problem with any other game except from the ones made by this company.

I really enjoyed the end boss fight. I thought it was very well thought out. I just beat it on Buffalo difficulty on my first playthrough. It did take me a number of tries though. Once I learned all the tactics & the flow of the fight, it wasn't too bad.

In my opinion the whole game was on hard as ranger to easy. Every fight was like "ok slowmo and hit the ♥♥♥♥ out of them" next boss.. and then was this endboss... only spaming his ice/firering of death and waits until the dragon comes again... man this was so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.I think i died so often like in the whole game. Best way for me was setting traps if he makes his leap attack on you(after setting his blades on fire). In the end i can say good game with a little more work it would be great.

Yeah, I am done. Not wasting my life on this boss.

Eventually I knocked down the difficulty to easy mode for the boss and beat him. Still no way easy though.

After third try i learn one thing. U need to play the game once to see how it works then reset progress to play it how devs wanna u to play. Last boss is easy when u have range. Close combat is suicide. I love stealth approach in all my games and i could do it (with lot of trouble) on this one until the end boss. At first i thought that they match the daemon power with your style but no no no... Demon has always the same pattern no mater witch path u chose.
I don't know how warrior can beet it (parry is useless, breaking defense to). Middle tree gives u one chance do give him 3-4 hits (the jump attack). U can't counter his fast melee combo cause counter attack don't brake it (attack has 3 dodge points)... When he is in range mode u can just run... and dragon sequence is..... This game give u 3 paths but 2 of them are useless in the last battle.

I can see only one solution to this finale battle buy a loooooot of bolts to shoot or invest in fire power and mana potions. Range is the way. :angry_creep:
