For VC Redist you only need the .....x64.exe version. The ....x86.exe is for 32bits OS.
Rebooting after both installations could exclude some errors. But for this software this isn't needed.
Try to start the game, after you have done some steps, Maybe the next step isn't needed, but I will give them to you.
Compatibility mode is something I don't like (Emulating OSes), but this is the next step.
Find the "BoundByFlame.exe" and click right with the mouse, The scoll down menue should show up the last point "Properties" (Your language could differ) . The Tab "Compatibility" and then "Start Program in Compat.... for" (Chooses the OSes, but always step backward. The newest OS first down to Windows XP or Vista. Click OK to set your value and try to start the program. If not go back to next OS.
Starting Program as administrator is to be used carfully. The program then has more possibilities in changing your PC. Last option to use, please.
You can start the game with the exe file mentioned before, sometimes that helps. If this is functioning, Steam must be loaded, to check if the game is yours.
Further I have no Idea. Some tips, always remember which changes you made, to make these steps reverse if needed. When I try to get a program started, I uncheck an option earlier checked. This could result in getting the program started.
