Game keeps crashing upon start-up
Hi! I'm not sure if there's a thread like this but I can't find any related threads.

Just as the title says, teh game always crashes upon launch or start-up. I'm not sure why. I have somewhat older games like Darksiders, Dragon Age Origins, etc. but wit no issues. I'm not sure how to fix this. I already requested a refund but I'm still looking forward to play this game. Any help would be very much appreciated.

This game should be installed on the c: disk, as well as for example Thief: Deadly Shadows, if you put it on any other disk, it will crash

Old thread, but I have the same problem. I played this game on a different PC years ago, thought I would do a second run on my newer PC but the game won't launch (nothing happens). The event viewer says it crashed (Faulting application name: BoundByFlame.exe) but there isn't anything helpful in the details. I did initially install it on D drive but moving it to C didn't help.

This is the second older game I've tried playing on this PC that does this. Skyrim was the first, exact same problem, silent crash on launching the game. Other games, new and old, work fine. I did everything reasonably possible to fix it so I consider it a lost cause.

Found the solution to this and other games from around the same time period not starting on my new PC: Skyrim, Bound by Flame, Dragon Age Origins, and Mass Effect 2 (curiously both ME1 and ME3 were fine).

When trying to start the games, all just quit immediately, crash event only seen in event viewer.

In Windows go to App and Browser control, Exploit Protection, Program Settings, Add Program (choose file path). Browse to BoundByFlame.Exe and in the list find "Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR)", override the setting and set it to OFF (the global setting for mine was On).
