Controller not working
Im using a DS4 via Steams own mapping tool, which worked perfectly before.
Just wanted to give BBF another shot and neither my DS4 nor the Steam Controller work, no matter the config.

Any workarounds?

1. Run Steam and click LIBRARY.
2. Right click on 'Bound by Flame' and click 'Properties'.
3. Click the tab 'LOCAL FILES' then the button 'BROWSE LOCAL FILES'.
4. Right click on the application 'Bound by Flame' (Bound by Flame.exe) and click 'Properties'.
5. Click the tab 'Compatibility'.
6. Check 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and select Windows 7.
7. Check 'Run this program as an administrator'.
8. Click the button 'OK' and run the game.

While it did help in getting the game to recognize the controller at all, the mapping is all over the place.
Only the stick is recognized in the menus, A (Confirm) and B (Cancel) are reversed, the guide button is recognized as Up and so on.

But it's at least a step in the right direction. Thank you for that.

Not sure if that helps but you may want to give x360ce a try if you can't get your controller to work as you want it to.

I've used this application in the past in order to play games with an old controller that wasn't supported.

I am having issues also, using wireless xbox one elite controller. The game allows me to select gamepad from the menu, however I can not use it. Tried the support steps above and that did not resolve the issue.

Same problem here. Worked just fine a few years ago when I played with my 360 controller under win7. The Xone under Win10 isn't detected at all, not even in bigpic with different configurations.

+ Disable second HID controller at device manager. (Let Enable only one)

The windows 7 compability and administrator mode is not woking.
I just bought this myself and tried to use a XBOX One controller. Didn't work at all.

It's abysmal that they didn't think to actually update the game to be more like the PS4 and XBOX One ports of the game, and instead give us the PS3, XBOX 360, port of the game.

Yup. This is why Focus is known as a b-studio. Because they can't even fix simple issues and their support is useless.

It has nothing to do with that. Even a straight X360/PS3 ports can and do support generic XInput / DInput controllers.
Since Spiders games used to support whatever Controller you plugged in, it's more likely that the engine version those games were made of are incompatible with current Steam Mappers / Wrappers.

Older Unity games have the same issue with DInput (PS3/PS4) controllers when using Steams build in mapper. While they recognize native XInput devices (X360/XONE) without issues, they can't detect DInput devices which are emulated to work like XInput devices by Steam.

Doesn't work on Windows 10 1809 with Official Xbox One Wireless.

Well, I tried using an Xbox1 controller and had no luck. I tried absolutely everything - editing some of the files, compat mode etc...
In the end I had to get a refund which was a shame because I really wanted this game in my library.
I downloaded the cracked version (by Prophet) and it worked perfectly with my Xbox1 controller. Go figure.

I think steam is somehow overriding the controller support and messing things up, go into steam, settings, controller, General Controller Settings. disable Xbox Configuration Support if it's active. (or playstation configuration support)

This fixed it for me.
