How to activate free DLC?

I just installed the game, created an account and made sure I had the dlc activated on steam and yet I received nothing in-game. Is there a way to activate all my free stuff?

Edit: Figured it out. It is a box in your inventory you need to open. Click on the gun shaped icon in the top left. It'll be under common items.

so first click the bottom left for mail? then select inventory or something?

On the main screen there is a pistol shaped icon in the top left. Click it to open up your inventory. Inside it there is a crate that you can open that has all the DLC items inside.
