Tips for earning money?

Title - I need cash. Now! Badly! I need money for the better weapon blueprints. I've destroyed some random pirate hideouts as I see them for the coins, but it's not enough. Also working through some of the sidequests, but it's still not enough for a blueprint. Any tips? Thanks!

Trade.

Grab resources, make something out of it then sell (go to various towns and see what they are buying - make those).

It won't take long if you have upgraded storage buildings for more capacity

Don't forget to also get money from the ruins. There are some hidden behind rocks that need to be shot with the cannon.

Go around and mine lots and lots of cotton, ore, and quarts, but particularly Cotton. Then go to a kingdom and sell them. Cotton has the most fields so you can get a lot at one time.

You don't mine cotton as it is a plant you carefully pick it as the cotton plant has a lot of nasty thorns. At least in R/L that's how you get cotton.
