Dagger Directive

Dagger Directive

AI teammates?
Being someone who loved Delta Force and Delta Force 2 back in the day, I'll be looking forward to seeing where this project goes. That said, I'm wondering if the game will feature any AI teammates as those Novalogic titles did back then? Make no mistake, I'm not looking for companions with cutting-edge AI to command - just having some allied troops following a pre-defined path of waypoints and getting activated by certain missions triggers would be enough (as was the case in DF1 and 2).

I'm asking this because I haven't noticed any allied AI operators in the announcement trailer, and for me, the feeling of being a member of a strike force helped a lot in immersion, even if I was the one who always did all the legwork in the single-player campaign.

So TL;DR: Will the game feature any AI teammates, or will Dagger Directive be more like Project IGI in this regard, with a lone wolf setting in all missions?

100% agree. It doesn't need to be anything complex. I think the AI teammates serve a purpose even if you can't them orders and their plan is preset. Even if the friendly AI is bad they at least serve as a distraction for the enemies and at best are covering your six

Yes, basic waypointed uncontrollable AI dudes like in detla foce 1 and 2 would be neat, they dont even have to be that smart

If they could just simply follow you that’d be awesome, but I wouldn’t mind them having some level of complexity. Like formations, spacing, follow me, stop, open fire and cease fire. Although, from the video I saw I don’t mind the game without any teammates and the commander giving call outs is enough for me personally.

Seriously, scripted teammates would be awesome. It doesn’t even have to be complicated with them following you the whole mission, it could just be for certain objectives through your mission.

Even the original Ghost Recon had pretty simplistic yet decent enough AI. I'd be happy with that level of bot intelligence.

+1, would really bring back the nostalgia of the 90's games

Player needs to be able to control rules of engagement, even better would be to assign specific targets.
Have option to toggle them off completely.
