To say that the game feels held together by duck tape and string isn't enough. Menus feel awful to navigate in ways I have never seen before. The story mode feels like it was pulled from some half-baked mobile game. Selecting a character before the match seems barely functional. As for the match itself, there are some weird choices for the default ruleset. There might be something worth salvaging in here somewhere, but I feel no reason to go looking for it when every other platform fighter on the market does these things better out of the gate.
