WTF is this where ra heal moves with him and his ult heals him???? a neith doing massive dmg magic build with her 2 mordred damage is insane, support characters are useless in this game now. I don't think the devs know how to balance stuff

a lot of the "balance" depends on what gamemode you play in. I play Assault exclusively because the average match is under 20 minutes. Having said that there are definitely gods that consistently do well in assault where they might fall behind in other game modes.

I've had the exact opposite interaction. Outside of conquest, I think things get even whackier. But the whole point of the hunter builds having ability bombs is because that opens up the door for more builds over all. I agree that we still need some number tuning, but saying the entire game needs a massive balance change isn't accurate.
This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots who trying to force an agenda than tanks are weak needs to go asap, or they gonna destroy Smite 2 just like 1 where tanks we're overpowered for years because small minority was gaslighting devs.

They have already confirmed that tanks are too squishy and are looking into how to buff them without making bruiser builds too overpowered.

Well, Smite 1 once again it seems. I'm from future so I'm predicting what's gonna happen:
1. They gonna buff tank items
2. They will not reduce Tanks base damage
3. Tanks will have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of resists + will do top dmg, exactly how it is in Smite 1 right now.

Exactly the issue on smite is that the base damage is too high compared to scaling damage from items, so if you improve your defense by a factor of 3 or more you still lose less than half your damage as mostly came from the base anyways, plus theres several prot scaling and even flat damage extras that don't care for the scaling at all.
They should just use simple plain math, you got 2x more survivability by health/prots ? Cool, so you should do 50% of the damage you would with half of that survivability, but with flat/base being so high, that never will happen, just look at geb base damage numbers as an example, its a plain joke.

IN addition you have grifters like Intersect who are crying to the devs all the time, and they are listening to this ♥♥♥♥.

Geb is also an outlier; his damage scaling is much higher than other supports. I agree that it should be nerfed heavily though.
Not only Geb, Bacchus and Ares have absurd damage output too.

The game is sucking up to Eastern Europe and Asia, what do you expect? When companies do this they end up going the same way that League of Legends did with a constant "high damage" meta and it makes the game just a one shot competition. Hence why mobility and damage have been amplified heavily from SMITE 1.

They want that sweet sweet China/Korea "internet cafe" money that League has. (Which is the main reason they push for "quicker games"). That's the only reason most MOBA's have become like this. Its sad that so many American developers choose to betray their own western player-base to chase profits from authoritarian countries.

The sooner the US puts trade tarriffs on countries like China/Korea etc and companies lose their gravy train, it will force the return of balance in gameplay. It seems hopeful that it will happen with the current change in the American political landscape.

I think there are markets for different types of MOBA's, SMITE was a slower paced MOBA then League of Legends originally, which was the reason I enjoyed it. Also supports felt more meaningful in ways other then just "More Damage". Its a shame Hi-Rez have abandoned that philosophy.

I watched a guy that obviously only spams Geb easily dinking 90k+ damage in arena every game I got matched with him. The aspects feel so stupid to me. There needs to be an actual trade off. Even though Rama's aspect is pretty bad, the trade off makes perfect sense. But then you have ones like Geb's that makes no sense. Chaac loses healing for damage. Ama loses healing for damage. Thanatos loses healing for tankiness and damage. Geb just gets to have a massive AOE that deals full damage at any range with a reduced cooldown and somehow they thought that removing the knockup makes up for it in any way. Remove the knockup? Good start. Also give it 75% of the base stats it had, the same way they nerf Vulcan and Ra scaling for their aspects. They have so many good ideas that they can implement, and decide that they won't do any of the balancing that goes into that too. I'm excited to see how hard they gut Ullr and how bad Artemis aspect will be on release while we still get full nuked by full tank Ares, Bacchus and Gebs.

yes i agree 100% besides fully tanked guards getting smoked by 1 mage is just silly . 400 dam basics on a mage out of wack. mordred bleed with 300 str barely does 150 dam its way out of wack

There is a trade off. You lose the CC from the 2. You don't run Geb aspect in conquest as support.
