Ascension Passes - No real explanation yet already monetized?

So, i have the choice to get a founder pack but only the two higher tiered ones have ascension passes.

From their official faq:
Ascension Passes are a new Mastery system in SMITE 2 that will be launching this summer. We wanted to make mastering a god more rewarding, so we’re adding more free rewards to every level and there will be new rewards that you get when you buy the Ascension Pass. You’ll still master gods as normal if you don’t own an Ascension Pass, but you get a lot more rewards for it if you do.

We’ll be sharing more info on them as we get closer to their Summer release!

So... no word on how much they will cost, what they will include and if you can earn them without spending any more money. Basically "battlepasses for gods" but with unknown content.

Atleast getting the first founder pack gives you access to all gods, forever. I guess this is similar to how they did it for smite 1

I bought a pack for smite 1 during the beta and still have access to all gods, so what do you actually talk about? Did they change something?

My bigger concern is the extreme lack of information they have given regarding how they handling the current roster. We are only getting about 20 when the game releases, but they haven't said who (other than the few they have used for marketing) and they have been incredibly vague on what's going on with rest of the roster.

They claimed they would release a new one every week, but I do not believe this. If they actually have the ability to do that, that means WAY MORE of the roster is ready than they are saying. And in that case, they should just release everyone at once.

Something about the whole thing feels REALLY scummy.

I do really like Smite and want to get into Smite 2 but the whole business case they are making up here is so unclear.

I do not recall them stating that they were releasing one per week, only heard other content creators speculate such things.

All we know is that they are working on them, their progress can be speculated from the releases of the cross gen skins. It appears they already have renders for them in Smite 2 so that's quite a few gods in the works already.

My main complaint is the lack of information on the ascension passes for early deluxe and ultimate edition owners. It would've been nice to know beforehand what to expect from these so the value can be seen in them. This should clear up before long when they reveal them in summer.

They really should provide a bit more detail cuz right now it just feels like another way for Hi-Rez to reach into everyone's pockets

If you use google and search smite 2 ascension there are a few videos on this already. So basically they are battle passes for those gods instead of the way it was in Smite 1. They said more rewards for leveling them up.

Its explained in videos that they released, right here on the store page or on youtube or other places as well.

will we be able to use favor to buy ascension passes?

we will be able to use legacy gems to buy them? and i mean use legacy gems to buy 100% of the cost , not this 50% ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (they said some items will be buyable with legacy gems i think but not most)?

like i cant decide if its worth getting the pass now or waiting until it launches? what part of the founder pack GOES AWAY after alpha ends?

why does it say we unlock the ascension passes DURING ALPHA in the text, do we even keep them?
