This perspective is what distinguishes Smite from all other MOBAs
and smite is my favorite Moba
I dont think you understand how markets and audiences work.
Just look at helldivers 1 and 2 and then tell me that changing the game is bad.
If it were just a patch that override Smite 1 to a 2.0 then sure keep it. But if you gonna make a new game why not just do a big overhaul? And those who like the third person still have smite 1 it's a win win just sayin it's a missed oppurtunity.
You're obviously entitled to your opinion that top down is better, but there are plenty of top down options out there to play, the camera perspective is one of the things that makes SMITE unique.
The change from Helldivers 1 to Helldivers 2 was making a 2d game 3d, adding the dimension allows for vertical movement. What would be added to Smite2 by the change in perspective from 3rd person to top down?
Even if they change Smite from 3rd person to top down. How is that going to be different from LoL/Dota 2 and why would anyone play Smite then if you have LoL and Dota 2.
