Deadlock is a game under development and i dont have to update 14 gb of memory every day
Same here, 1.2gb or 1.3gb update every day
I hate it too, but I looked more into it. Apparently, it's just that they are fixing bugs and such AS SOON AS THEY FIND SOME OF THEM and release the update instantaneously afterward regardless of the timing. That's it.
I'm glad it's not just me then. My other half plays it on XBOX and is in to the game immediately. As soon as I exit the game and load it back up it does precompiling shaders and/or an update

Cant complain... they are working hard on it.
A game that gets bugfixed quickly is way better than one where bugs are allowed to fester. Having said that... dear Hi-Rez, seriously? Three hotfixes just today? At least wait an hour or so to update anything short of a security risk, so you can group multiple fixes at the same time.

that isn't what is happening though.... I can be playing game, exit and start back up again immediately and it buffers and says it's precompiling shaders EVERY time
I had 4 updates in last 24 hours, big patch and 3 smaller ones(0,5-1 GB). Was the game broken after the big patch or something?

if you go into steam -> settings -> downloads, make sure allow background processing of vulkan shaders is turned on. i had this problem as well, anytime i would reboot or close steam it would redownload the shaders, it has not done this since i have that enabled.
