SMITE 2 name was changed to my SMITE 1 name?

Can I change my name on SMITE 2? It changed to my SMITE 1 name!

Yes, you can go into Settings in SMITE 2 and under the UI tab, you can turn off the "Use Legacy Name" option to return to using your Steam name.

I've the invert of the issue: I have legacy name on but I still see my Smite 2 name.

Nope. I turned it on and off but I still have my Smite 2 name.

If turning off the Legacy Name setting is not working for you, I'm happy to just directly update your name so that you don't have to pay to change it in SMITE 1. Please just let me know what you want your name to be and I'll update it for you!

My name currently is NossXD in Smite 1.

I just checked your account and didn't see an active Legacy Name for you, but using my Divine Legacy tool, I found your link and reassociated it with your account. That setting should work for you now.

I just did my dailies though and they didn't pop... again. :/
