"unable to download subsystem online"
Hello,
as I mentioned in title - I cannot run the game properly. Anti-cheat runs, there is "Georgia" theme and then I need to LPM to "log-in", then I get red annoucment "
unable to download subsystem online" (I have translated this from Polish language).

I have tried:
- UNCHECK running as administrator.
- RUNNING as administrator. (also "hemingway.exe" and start_protected_game.exe")
- checked the integrity of the game files on steam.
- Unistall and install the game again.
- Run on direct 11 and direct 12.

Using only windows defender. Smite 1 uninstalled; never any problem with other games. Its important to mention, that I could run the game TWICE, first one before 14.01 and second time - YESTERDAY, after I installed the game again. But when I closed the game and run it again - "unable to download subsystem online".

Appreciate any help, thanks.

Can you please send me a log file? You can find it by hitting Windows+R, entering %LocalAppData%\SMITE2Alpha\Saved\Logs\, and hitting enter. You can either just send me Hemingway.log or send me all of the files in their.

had the same error today, also was able to run game twice no problem, but now on the login screen i get a notification 'unable to fetch subsystems online' - tho when i run the game with polish language the notification is about wrong login credentials. How can i send You the log files @Xienen?

Most players use Google Drive or a free file sharing site.

That does not appear to give me an option to download any files.

One thing i noticed from your logs is that you have an Nvidia Geforce 1660 Ti 6gb, but the drivers are old.

Driver Version: 516.40 (internal:31.0.15.1640, unified:516.40)

Driver Date: 6-6-2022

[2025.01.28-20.02.20:746][ 0]LogWindows: Gathering driver information using Windows Setup API

Please install the latest driver version or switch to a different rendering API.

Would you like to visit the following URL to download the driver?

i updated the drivers through nvidia app, thought maybe it was a mistake - after that the smite 2 launcher displays an error about finding the executable file:

i verified the game files using steam, and it did find 1 file missing - but after downloading it there was an error with syncing files on steams's part

i'll just reinstall the game, and get back to You tomorrow with new logs

ok, i have some news: after updating the drivers through nvidia app i couldn't launch SMITE 2. Reinstalling didn't help - whenever i tried to download it, steam would just say about an error while saving files to the disc - i checked the steamapps/common/SMITE 2 folder, and it was empty.

So i downloaded the game onto my older local disc (it's smaller, hence i didn't want to fill it up with games - that's what the new disc is for), and it worked. THe game launched, and i could log into the game. i have updated the folder with the new logs that generated in the meantime - hope You'll be able to find the cause of the subsystems problem
