Mostly it's a pvp game (meant to be played pvp), but they have some ai modes (arena, joust, conquest)

You're forced to play against bots up until a certain point, then you get to do PVP.

there is pvp and it's decent after you play for a while so the algorythm can match you better. Still get seeded though
