Deserter Penalty

I'm wondering if there's a bug going around regarding the deserter penalty? I ALT + F4'd to try and fix my lag issues that I seemed to be having and as I was rebooting my game which wasn't even taking longer than a minute I had already gotten the deserter penalty.

Well you did leave the game. But here is mine. I am mid match, game crashes i submit the crash report and log in to a deserter penalty.
About done with Hirez.
Still waiting on my skins from Smite 1.

Having to reboot to potentially fix a game bug shouldn't count as a deserter penalty tho. But I get what you mean.

Joined a game. disconnected from match to the lobby, waited then says rejoining match, deserter penalty 1 min later.

If you team surrenders before you reconnect, which can happen in a matter of seconds, you will get a penalty. Also i dont know what you mean waiting for your smite 1 skins? If you connected your accounts properly all the skins they have so far are there.

No one surrendered tho, my friend left after I got the penalty. The skins part wasn't mine. I've got all the linked stuff haha.
