Anyone else had a CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT BSOD occur?
Just happened to me. I was loading into a game and as I left fountain my PC frozen. After a restart and rejoin (And a lot of flack from toxic teammates) the game was surrendered. I queued another, and the same issue pops up again but windows went into BSOD with that error this time. I haven't had any issues in other games yet, so I'll update the post if it occurs but curious if anyone else has had this problem with Smite 2

Try switching to DX11 for the moment. The same has been happening to me too this week; freezing crashes with DX12 on; none while playing with DX11 so far. Don't know what's caused the sudden trouble with it now :O
yeah that one happened to me 2 days ago with this all i was doing was collecting a mastery. Loaded back up all the in game settings had reset to default, I had to skip the dodgy tutorial stuff again and now I'm stuck with lots of the red dot on each god I can't clear.

I will try this. I played another and it lasted a while but crashed around the 11 or 12 minute mark.

My issue didn't look like this, I assume it wasn't your first session? Curious why it would get reset.

Just checked it again on DX11 and crashed even faster, 10s into queueing. Only game it is occurring on, so seems to be a smite 2 issue. I haven't checked smite 1

Then I'm sorry to hear that :( so it seems you've been experiencing some other crashes... so I hope it gets resolved soon ;/

Very frustrating that this is still happening.

Is this a newer issue for you guys, or was it happening before the most recent patches?

I commented in the other thread that has a few more comments;
it's been happening for me since CA8's release.

I am not sure about you all, but it seems fixed for me now. No clue what did it, there wasn't a major patch so far as I have seen to Smite 2, or Windows, or my drivers.

I updated my BIOS and that appears to have resolved the issue for me so far (played 2 arena games and 4 conquest with no crashes).

We have tracked down details on players experiencing issues with UE5 games on 13th generation CPUs along with 14th generation. It seems Intel was made aware of the issue and put out a microcode update that motherboard manufacturers rolled into BIOS updates. We've had several players update their BIOS and report that the game is no longer crashing for them. If you'd like me to help you through that process, I'm happy to do it.

Also of note, while updating your BIOS will stop the issue from getting worse, there could already be damage done to your CPU that could continue to cause crashes, but Intel has extended their warranty for 13th and 14th generation CPUs to 2 years in light of this issue: https://community.intel.com/t5/Processors/Additional-Warranty-Updates-on-Intel-Core-13th-14th-Gen-Desktop/m-p/1620853

It seems that a number of 12th generation CPUs, while not necessarily damaging the processor itself, are also running into crashes, freezes, and BSODs. It appears that for a number of players with 12th gen, updating their BIOS has also resolved this issue for them, though Intel hasn't released any official information regarding 12th gen having any issues.
