I love being part of the early development phase of Smite 2

I always liked Smite 1 and played it for a while but for technical and life circumstances i wasn’t able to play as much as i wanted. And i came a bit late to the party and missed a lot of things.

Now i feel that i’m enjoying things from the start, experiencing the evolution of this new game since Alpha. I have seen how steady it is growing, getting polished, A couple patches ago, the menus were not as responsive as they are now, much better and improved. The overall performance has been improved too. In all my 400+ hours as of this moment i had only one crash (in Alpha). We are getting almost weekly new Gods, we are getting nice new content (love the Wandering Market system) and the store is coming soon. There’s plenty of skins coming up, we recently got the jump stamps back, i heard that the music packs are gonna be back soon too.

The dev team is working hard on this game, and they are listening to the player base. It takes time to do everything and so far it is awesome. They have a lot on their hands building this sequel from scratch on most of each aspect of the game.

The support that devs have provided to player issues have been exceptional, i can’t thank Xienen enough for his hard work checking the discussions everyday and helping players in need. Best dev i’ve ever seen.

I want to encourage everyone who reads this to be kind and patient with the developers and the game. They are working their way thru making the game bigger and better, which is hard to keep on a free-to-play base game. They have plenty of work while having a life to maintain like everyone else. Families, responsibilities, etc. They are humans too. Be kind to them.

I hope that you, reading this, are also having a blast with the game. We can be a much better community to each other and make this place a welcoming home to all.

I agree with you. I just hope their reputation recovers from the recent mass layoffs and this game continues successfully for many years. I'm playing and enjoying the game still but community perception and player numbers aren't improving lately, sadly.

Good question, maybe from being a smaller game and community and knowing the names of devs. I'm not sure either, since I'm still playing the game.
