The company stated once Smite 1 Ranked Joust was more team oriented than even Ranked Conquest
Meaning you should expect a 3 man to stomp a team of Duo + Solo or 3 Solos a lot
They even once forced Ranked Conquest to be all Solos while 3 mans and Duos were allowed in Ranked Joust
Might be they do not see enough 3 mans to bring it in yet
Apparently even the smite 1 ranked joust players went to play casual joust instead so it was a very dead mode.
I believe they stated somewhere that they really want to separate competitive and casual and not do casual ranked modes, so no ranked joust or arena.
Can fit in two arena matches and not feel like youve been doing this all day.
we start a petition? :)
alr but we like smite rn :)
Either you do not know or are in the minority that know and choose to ignore
I mean, it is an unsaid ranked mode anyway; your name is what players remember and see when the match begins. Doesn't have to be 'ranked' to know I took you down a notch.
You bring up a good point. There is clearly a loyal following to each game mode.
I’m far from a developer, but to appease all parties they should include ranked matchmaking for each game type. (Don’t really see the downside in this)
Smite is already considered a special case with its unprecedented amount of modes for a moba.
The ranked player base for some modes would be incredibly small leading to completely impossible matchmaking.
Something inherently casual like arena or assault would only generate a tiny ranked player base.
Joust only worked because 3-man premades are very common but even that ranked mode was completely screwed over by ranked players migrating towards casual.
So no there is a massive downside to making a ranked mode for everything.
Both have been absolute staples from the start and at least for joust it would lead to a bunch of people just leaving because it's the only small group mode.
Not like you care about anything besides arena though so of course that's your suggestion...
wish then , theyd just TRY ranked arena again
but okay, we concluded that it is unsaid ranked
