Crash on startup
When I try to start the game I get to see about 2 seconds of the Georgia peach logo before the game crashes. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game, I've verified the files, moved it back and forth between my internal and external drives, even tried repairing my library to if that would help but nothing I've tried so far has worked. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, were you able to find a fix?

RESOLVED: I downloaded the NVIDIA App and had it update, after the update I restarted my computer and smite magically worked again. May this help you brothers and sisters

Try debug mode in nvidia control panel
same here.

although personally, i'm not going to try to troubleshoot with scandisks and all that to fix the game. i'll just uninstall it and try again in a few months. lol

Someone in another post had the issue and the scandisks happened to be the fix to his issue. Windows is far from perfect and sometimes the file system integrity can get corrupted somewhere. This fixed the corruptions which can affect not only games but systemwide issues and general performance. It is worth for everyone.
I had the same issue (game was crashing at the Georgia screen), but downloading the most recent Nvidia graphics driver update allowed the game to launch.
