I've tried everything, I've wasted the whole day trying to solve it. I even bought a new video card just to play the game and the error persists.
is there anything I can do to fix it?
Your PC has a serious OS issue. The EAC version of Smite 2 happens to clash with it, as some other newer versions of it like some people having the same problem with Diablo 4 and other games.
This mean you haven’t properly done a full health check on your Windows, but most people don’t know how to do this, that’s why i created this post.
There are plenty of people like me that never ever have any issues at all. What does this tells you?
I'm having the exact same problem.
Black screen after the Georgia Apple(peach?) screen, then it just sits on a black screen until I use task manager to close the application.
I have gone through all the fixes in the original post, unistalled, reinstalled, clean install, added prefomrance mode in Windows games and still nothing.
The furthest I've gotten is by launching through Nvidia, then at least I can get to the title screen but am met with a Log In authentication error so.. Still stumped.
Any work arounds that haven't been highlighted as of yet would be greatly appreciated.
As is all the work put in so far by @Ferocius
I’ll try and help you directly, added you.
Turns out Windows Defender was stopping Smite from running
Added you, let’s help.
Add me. I’ll assist you a bit later.
I was experiencing this issue on March 24th after updating my AMD graphics card (7900 GRE) and I tried setting everything so "Run as Admin", as advised. But the actual solution for me was to just set everything back to its default as in "running everything without Admin" as it worked for me.
