Female designs
Why are they still so bad?

Why is Athena, the goddess of wisdom, in heels?
Why is Bellona, a goddess of war, basically flawless? Where's her scars?
Why is Izanami just green when you went with the path of her dying and being the goddess of the underworld? Why isn't she more decayed? You made the kaiju whale skeletal. You redid how Cupid looks completely, halfsies on Herc's look and changed Hades up a bit. Izanami needs this too.

And this is only touching on a very small selection of females but over all, a large majority are generic or boring. Like Hecate, The Morrigan, Morgan La Fey and so forth.

But what's up with the inconsistency and inequality between male and female gods with: Wings, where the female wings are overall smaller or shrink in out of combat stance whilst the males do not.

Where male gods depicted as beasts are beasts, but females are largely still human. The best comparison is Bastet and Anhur. Anhur looks like an anthropomorphic lion, but Bastet is basically a cosplayer and yet they're siblings.

"What about Tiamat?" She's a vast disappointment, from her kit, when her lore in game basically says she changes the environment to her needs when she doesn't, to her looks. She's a frilly, neon goblin shark. Given Tiamat's real description, sure, it can be changed and yet she's still so incredibly boring for a monstrous goddess. Males always get more work put into them, like Camazotz or Khepri.

It's 2025, start bringing in the equality already.

I hate you. BUT, it's ok. Because I hate you, equally as much, as I hate everyone else.

The answer to most of your questions is that Smite 1 was made in the 2010's, and this game for the most part brings the look of the characters from that game to Smite 2. Art and culture have changed, as they always do from one decade to the next. 50's, 60's, & 70's all had very different vibes. Demographics for things also shift over time. In the meantime I'd just say to accept these characters as they are. I'm accepting them as they look now, and would also be just as fine if changes were made to them. Including many of the changes you brought up. A lot of them make sense to me. I also get that this game has a sense of humor about itself, so there is random and intentional silliness in some of the characters and their different skins.
I know what you mean so many of the men show a there entire tops tits and all, the women need to show more.
How old are you people >.< ffs. lol

I agree with you about humanoid and monstrous gods... i like more monstrous. But for a moment, Tiaman is one of the coolest looking gods in the entire game. Camazotz and Fenrir too.
Regarding scars and so on, it makes sense, but at the moment it's a trifle. Given the current trends, I want to say thanks to Smite, because... Smite is one of the few games where many female characters still look like attractive women, and not something... else...
Question from me to the game - after Smite 1, what happened to the faces of the gods in 2?

I agree, the women should be sexier
It is a fantasy game about Gods and Goddesses.

Lady, the years of making ugly women are over. Look at Concord, beauty sells

Funnily: Bastet WAS a fully feline design before they changed her to a catgirl.
I am all for pretty ladies. But they can be more than "Woman in cosplay". And Smite has shown they can do fantastic skins and god designs.

Hel(l) Bastet did get a feline skin down the line in Smite 1.

I don't remember all of Bastet's skins from Smite 1, I just know her default look always disappointed me.

I'm not saying no goddess shouldn't be pretty. But only for the ones where it makes sense. I'm not asking for Aphrodite to be different because that's literally what she is, but why is Izanami also pretty? She's the matron of the dead. She died. But you can't really tell any of that from her base model.

Arachne shouldn't have a beautiful upper half but here we are, because they refused full spider.

Correct. But there's still vast, undeniable differences between gods and goddess from their themes: Ymir and Geb are "I'm the earth", so they're monstrous in a way. But Terra is also mother earth, and she's just a human in rock armor, pretending to look like an MMA fighter. Her design is very uninspired.

I do remember the big "Kali Controversity".
Where Smite made her a bit TOO accurate, which apparently was a bad thing.
Arachne seems to have a few depictions. Some are just "Spider Taur", but some also have her upper half be very spooder-fied and horrific.

But I would like to see more unique female designs in line with their "source material".
